Celebrating the 10th anniversary of sponsoring the Child Fund Korea, CEO Kyu-Cheol, LEE of the global company Ceragem and senior executives of Naviel and Club Balance 5 visited the foundation’s Chungnam branch and conveyed donations and in-kind items to it.

Since March 2006, Ceragem has provided donations of over KRW 370 million to the Child Fund Korea through various sponsorship arrangements. Officials of the foundation thanked Ceragem for its support for healthy growth of children of low-income families in Chungnam.

The foundation is the Korean branch of Christian Children’s Fund (CCF) in the United States, started in 1948. After CCF ended its financial support in 1986, the foundation became an independent Korean organization. In 1988, the foundation opened Hansarang Village, a nursing facility for children with severe disabilities; it changed to its current name in 2008. With the slogan of “A World Where Children Are Happy,” the foundation has been involved in diverse programs in Korea and overseas, promoting children’s rights to survive from poverty and disease as well as those rights for protection, development, and participation.

The special relationship with the Child Fund Korea led to Ceragem being honored with the Child Fund Korea President’s Award in 2007, the visit of the entertainment star serving as the Publicity Ambassador of the foundation to Ceragem in 2009, and the Fun Donation Lecture. Ceragem became a listed member of the Child Fund Korea Hall of Fame in 2014.

Additionally, executive officials of Club Balance 5, Ceragem’s new-concept beauty and healthcare brand, has participated in sponsorship and volunteer activities for Hansarang Village of the Child Fund Korea located in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do since 2015. Senior executives of Club Balance 5, business owners of its branches, and customers have visited Hansarang Village, which is home to over 100 children with severe disabilities, and have donated health supplements and in-kind items, participated in environmental improvement activities, and offered food and snacks on behalf of the center.

Since its creation, Ceragem has practiced the spirit of altruism, having fulfilled its corporate responsibilities in Korea and foreign countries including China, India, Germany, and Chile.
